Welcome to the Examiner Training for the 2006 Arizona State Quality Award!

Whether this is your first year as an Examiner, or if you are a returning Examiner, thank you for your commitment to helping Arizona organizations becoming high performance.

We hope that you find the following on-line training program a fast easy way to become familiar with the criteria, or refresh your understanding. The training is divided into seven modules, one for each Category of the criteria. Each module for Category 1 through 6 should take approximately 90 minutes to complete. You may work through each module at your own pace, one at a time, returning later to finish other modules at your convenience.

All training modules follows the same pattern:

• Read the criteria.
• Read accompanying notes and descriptions that help to explain the intent of the criteria.
• Read an excerpt from a case study application that relates to the Category being studied.
• Use the criteria to identify one strength and one opportunity for improvement.
• Watch a video of a panel of experts discussing the case study, and also discussing some important things for which they look when conducting an assessment.
