What some of our members have to say...
"The AQA Fall Conference and
State Quality Awards Program have consistently served to promote operational
excellence in Arizona. All organizations can use the information shared through
these programs to evaluate their current operations and develop ways to improve
their overall performance.",
- Chuck McLane, Director of
Auditing, Mayer Hoffman McCann/CBIZ Miller Wagner
“The
Arizona Quality Alliance continues to press advancement of Quality Excellence
through out our great State. AQA's focus towards benchmarking, process
excellence and increasing leadership effectiveness through structured events is
refreshing.”
-Tom Maxwell, Vice
President of Productivity, Raytheon Missile Systems
“At
Sonora Quest Laboratories (SQL), Quality is one of our core ‘Values’. The
patient comes first in everything we do. Our passion is to provide error free
work, on time, every time for the more than 4.5 million patients and 5000
clients we serve each year in Arizona. Our organization’s pursuit of continuous
quality improvement is enhanced and validated by participation in the Arizona
State Quality Awards Program, which recognizes companies for performance
excellence.
SQL
has been recognized by the Arizona Quality Alliance as a recipient of the
prestigious 2003 Pioneer Award and, in 2004, Sonora Quest Laboratories and our
sister organization, Laboratory Sciences of Arizona, were both accorded Showcase
In Excellence awards.
I
strongly encourage leaders of Arizona organizations to participate in AQA. I’m
confident that it will strengthen their organization’s awareness of quality
performance, enhance their competitive market position, and bring new insights
on how other companies outside their industry are raising the bar on quality.”
-Dave Dexter,
CEO, Sonora Quest Laboratories
“For the
Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), our participation in the Arizona
Quality Alliance has been an important part of our total quality journey. We
have had the opportunity to learn from a variety of experts in quality and from
the experiences of other organizations both within the public and private
sectors.
The
greatest benefit to the AZGFD has been our participation in the State Quality
Awards program. A number of years ago, we submitted an application to the SQA
program. For the past several years, we have been making improvements
throughout the organization based on the feedback we received through that
process. We learned a great deal and today the organization is better because
of those improvements. Additionally, last year, a number of our employees
served as examiners for the State Quality Awards and the Showcase in Excellence
Awards programs. Through their training and experiences with these programs,
the entire organization has come to a better understanding of how the SQA
criteria (also the Baldrige criteria) serve as a foundation for a total quality
system.
We look
forward to our continued participation in the Arizona Quality Alliance.”
– Duane L. Shroufe, Director, Arizona Game and Fish
Department
"Any organization in
Arizona serious about improving the way they do business needs to keep apprised
of what's happening at AQA."
-James S. Luby, Vice President, Quality & Lean
Enterprise, Boeing Mesa Quality
“The Arizona Quality Alliance (AQA)
has been an invaluable resource to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for more
than a decade. Our management team has taken advantage of the many conferences,
seminars and workshops and the large network of quality-focused organizations to
learn new ways to improve processes and enhance the quality of the products and
services we provide – both to our internal and external customers. In fact, AQA
played a significant role in helping us launch a corporate wide quality
improvement initiative, and I’m proud that our learned expertise is now of value
to other AQA members.”
- Sue Navran, Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and General Counsel,
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona
